Suggestive landscapes, paths overlooking breathtaking views, an international geological heritage, wide forests of centuries-old trees, flora and fauna rarities of an excellent biodiversity.
Aspromonte is heart and passion, original and wild beauty, closely linked to its unchanged historical identity.
It is located in the Southern stretch of the Italian peninsula, in geographical continuity with the Apennine ridge, from which it differs from the presence of crystalline-metamorphic rocks. Furthermore, It is surmounted by many peaks and different plateaus of sedimentary origin. Its constant and still active lifting makes the Aspromonte one of the most geologically active areas in the Mediterranean sea, creating steep landscapes, gorges and almost inextricable ravines that climb a short distance from the sea up to 2,000 metres.
